Historical figure - Sir William Wallace

This topic im studying involved an interview with a famous historian, i chose Sir William Wallace.

No one knows William Wallaces birth date he was born in a town called Elderslie Scotland, although claimed born around 1270 some say it was 1276.

We had an interview about what has happened in his life and he seemed happy to express what has happened to him.

So to start off when was the first fight you had in charge of scotlands army?

"This was also led by a man named Andrew moray, my first battle would have been the battle of Stirling Bridge which we won and royted the English army. Also if i remember correctly was against the Earl of Surrey who's proffesional army was 13000 strong"

sounds like a rough day that then, how was your other battles that you had?

"Well same as above really like I said always outnumbered at any occasion so was never an easy battle"

What you think you will be most remembered for?

"I think possibly leading the Scottish army and defending us from the English and allowing us to be our own country that isn't under the command of the English at the time"

Well thanks for your time Sir was nice interviewing you!

"You too"
